Weavil hails from Winston-Salem, NC where she began playing volleyball in 7th grade. At William Peace University she played at both the setter and defensive specialist positions for two seasons. Weavil transferred nearer to home where she was the primary setter for Davidson-Davie Community College (DCCC). She earned her Associates degree at DCCC and entered UNC-Charlotte to continue her education and earn a Bachelor's degeree in Health Communications.

Weavil's first foray into coaching was at the recreational level. While at DCCC she coached at High Rock Volleyball Club where she served as a head coach at the 13s and 15s age levels. While living in Charlotte, Weavil coached at CUVC for four years as both a head and assistant club coach. At CUVC, she also coached numerous clinics and served as a lead in their 'volleykidz' program. While working remotely during the pandemic, Weavil moved home to work and coached at Twin Cities Volleyball Club.

Weavil is a certified official and an avid grass and beach player. She currently works for the Department of Agriculture in the division of Farmland Preservation.
