Arles is originally from Richmond, Virginia where she was an avid swimmer. In middle school she picked up volleyball and it quickly became her favorite sport. Arles was a four-year starter for St. Catherine’s HS and served as team captain both her junior and senior year. She remains her high school’s all-time leader in assists and was instrumental in her team winning the League of Independent Schools championship. An accomplished setter, Arles played club at Richmond Volleyball Club (RVC) and was recruited to Emory University.

At Emory, she finished her four-year career ranked 8th on the school’s all-time ladder with 2,233 assists. Her senior year she was named an AVCA First Team All-American. Additionally, Arles was featured in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd in the December 13, 2018 edition and was named the NCAA Division III Championship’s Most Outstanding player.

Arles has coached for numerous years in numerous volleyball camps and clinics at RVC and Emory. Arles graduated Emory in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in both Neuroscience and Psychology. She is currently working as a Research Assistant at UNC-Chapel Hill in the Clinical Psychology Department.
