Dan Peters

Staff Member Since:

Peters joined Triangle in 2017 following many years as a Triangle parent. He attended New Jersey Institute of Technology where he played as a middle blocker, starting at the position for three of his four years in the program. As a senior he led the team in hitting percentage and earned All-EIVA honors. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and went on to play both beach and indoor club volleyball after graduating. He currently works at Brady Services in Morrisville.

Peters has always enjoyed coaching volleyball and in addition to Triangle has for years volunteered as a coach in the Fuquay-Varina recreation leagues. Dan also volunteers time performing education outreach with the NC Fossil club, working with schools and other organizations to educate their members about paleontology in NC, where he has been collecting fossils for more than 20 years. Two of his finds reside at the NC Museum of Natural sciences and he has had more than 15 others published in various Paleontology journals. He lives in Fuquay Varina with his wife Donna and kids, Nolan and Julianne (also a coach at Triangle).
