Buzogany is originally from Chicago and moved to Raleigh in August 2017 from Macon, Georgia. Buzogany began playing volleyball at 13 on his middle school team. He played all four years at Buffalo Grove High School as an outside hitter. His junior and senior year Buzogany was named all-conference and all-area. His performance during his senior year garnered him all-state recognition. Buzogany also played club at both Side-Out Volleyball Association and Rolling Thunder Volleyball Club.
After graduating high school Buzogany attended Appalachian State University where he was vice president and a player/coach of the men’s club team. Buzogany continues to play in both grass and indoor tournaments around the Southeast.
Buzogany began coaching summer camps after high school and served as the volunteer assistant coach of Appalachian State for four years. During that time his primary roles included practice player and blocking/defense instructor. Buzogany is a 2010 AVCA Coaches-4-Coaches Scholarship award winner that provides resources for educating promising up-and-coming collegiate coaches. During the summer Buzogany worked camps at numerous colleges including Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and Florida. After graduating from Appalachian State with a bachelor's degree in physical education and health, Buzogany was hired at the University of North Florida as the assistant indoor coach and director of sand volleyball operations. During that time he also coached with Jacksonville Juniors. Buzogany left college coaching in 2013 and moved to Tallahassee where he became the training director at Prostyle Volleyball Club. He also coached the 15-1 team to qualification for USAV Junior Nationals in the American Division by winning the Disney Volleyball Showcase.
Buzogany and his wife, Paige, moved to Raleigh in 2017 where he accepted a teaching position at East Wake Middle School.
