Harris joined Triangle in 2013 and has an extensive sports background. He played tennis while at The Citadel and began their club volleyball team during his senior year. After college he played in numerous adult volleyball leagues.

Harris began his teaching career in Florida and moved to Raleigh in 2005. He is a 9th grade math teacher at Rolesville HS. He has coached high school sand volleyball, middle school volleyball, and softball. Harris loves the challenge that volleyball provides and, as an educator, loves the teaching and learning coaching requires.

At Triangle, Harris has been the head coach of for numerous years at the 14s and 15s age levels. In 2016 Harris led 14 Steel to a fifth-place finish at the Capitol Hill Classic. He served as a varsity high school coach at Rolesville High School and was named the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Wake Technical Communicty College in 2019. In his first season with the Eagles he guided the team to an impressive 20-5 record and a semifinal appearance in the NJCAA Region 10 tournament.

Harris and his wife, Stephanie have two daughters who both played volleyball.
