Breanna Cary

Cary was born and raised in Indianapolis prior to moving to Charlotte in 8th grade. Cary played setter on the varsity squad at Hickory Ridge High School for three years, earning All-Conference honors her senior year. She began her junior club volleyball career at the age of nine at Circle City Volleyball Club. After moving to Charlotte, she played for multiple clubs in the Charlotte area as both a setter and defensive specialist. After graduating high school, Cary attended William Peace University where she played all four years as a setter, defensive specialist and libero. She earned Academic All-Conference honors all four years, was named Senior Student Athlete-of-the-Year, and served as the Pacers’ captain her senior year.

Cary comes to Triangle with many years of coaching experience at the middle school, high school, and junior club levels. She most recently head coached CJV 15 National and also coached at her high school alma mater as both the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. Cary also coached at Lake Norman VBC and Hickory Ridge Middle School while in graduate school. During her time at Peace, she also coached at Raleigh Volleyball and JOCO One Volleyball Club primarily at the high school age level.

Cary graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and went on to Queens University of Charlotte where she earned a Master’s degree in Strategic and Organization Communication. She currently works as a Social Media and Web Content Specialist at BMC/Builders First Source.
