Bekah Brinkley

Brinkley, a native North Carolinian, grew up in Asheville where she had an outstanding prep career. At Asheville Christian Academy, Brinkley led her team to five NCISAA state championships. She was named to the NCISAA All-State team four seasons and earned the prestigious 2004 N.C. Gatorade Player of the Year. Her accolades earned her the 2004 MAAC 1A/2A Major Sport Female Athlete of the Year  and the 2004 Asheville Citizen-Times Player of the Year.

Brinkley went on to UNC-Chapel Hill where she played both outside and right-side hitter. She helped the Tar Heels win an ACC title and earn an NCAA tournament bid in 2005. She graduated from UNC in 2008 with a BA in Psychology, and recently returned to Chapel Hill in May of 2021 to work in the Athletic Department.

Brinkley has coaching experience at both the high school and club levels including time as the Branson HS Varsity Assistant (MO) from 2008-2010 and Charlotte Christian Varsity Assistant from 2016 to 2021 , and multiple seasons with Springfield Juniors Volleyball Club (MO), Tampa Bay ONE (FL) and, most recently Carolina Union Volleyball Club (NC).
