About Us

Triangle Volleyball Club focuses on the personal and athletic development of our student-athletes, and creates a safe, positive, and effective learning environment in which student-athletes strive to achieve individual excellence within a team dynamic.

We view the volleyball court as our classroom, transformed to teach lessons of character, discipline, respect, responsibility, accountability, commitment, leadership, work ethic, teamwork, courage, integrity, communication, cooperation, the importance of sacrifice and sportsmanship. In conjunction with specific volleyball skills development we emphasize and teach our athletes the importance of proper nutrition, overall fitness and conditioning and healthy lifestyle choices.

Facility In January of 2006 we opened our own dedicated volleyball facility, the first of its kind in North Carolina. With a central location in the triangle, this four-court facility offers tremendous new opportunities for player development and will foster regional growth in the sport. In conjunction with opening our facility, we launched several new programs including Youth Volleyball Program (YVP), the Triangle Setting Academy, and Triangle P.A.C.T (Power, Agility, and Conditioning Training).

YVP offers boys and girls grades two through eight an opportunity to participate and develop in the sport and has seen over one hundred participants since its start in January, 2006. This program utilizes both our coaching staff and high school student-athletes to provide skills-based training through a series of free clinics, league-style play and instructional training sessions.

The Triangle Setting Academy provides players from across the region the same elite training and comprehensive instruction in volleyball setting that other national championship clubs have been receiving for decades.

Triangle P.A.C.T. is a volleyball specific training and instructional program designed to help the serious, achievement oriented student-athlete develop the athletic qualities necessary for high performance in any sport and for volleyball in particular.

Triangle Volleyball Club visibly and actively contributes to the betterment of the community through philanthropic work and participation in civic activities. Opportunities for our student-athletes to pass on their training to others and annual service initiatives are important elements of our program.

Local area impact:

Our players, staff, families and visitors will patronize area restaurants, retailers, services, hotel, etc. Below is a description of those who utilize our facility:

  • Along with our coaching staff, over 200 student-athletes and their families frequent our facility on a regular basis for practices, clinics, etc.
  • During our club season (January through May) we are the host site for regional junior volleyball tournaments every Saturday. We estimate that each of these weekends will bring 120 visiting players plus their families and coaches to our facility. Approximately 40% of these visitors will be traveling to the triangle from over 2 hours away and will routinely require overnight accommodations.
  • Throughout the year we are the host site for a variety of corporate leagues, adult club social play, youth leagues and special events.
  • Throughout the year we run an intensive series of camps and clinics which draw players and coaches from all over North Carolina.
  • Our facility is also routinely used by other volleyball teams for practices and clinics.

Other benefits to our supporters:

  • You will be a partner in a volleyball club which strives for excellence in its sport and who is committed to developing student-athletes, those who exemplify the qualities and character necessary for success beyond life on the court.
  • You will be affiliated with a club which has achieved tremendous success since it's founding in 2002. Just this past spring our 18-Open team won the Big South National Qualifier in Atlanta which represents the best finish of a North Carolina club team in the state's volleyball history. Despite multiple player injuries, this team finished the 2006 club season ranked 15th in the nation.
  • You join an organization committed to growth in its sport. This commitment is demonstrated by the determination to open the first dedicated volleyball facility of its kind in North Carolina and starting comprehensive youth and skills-based training programs for players throughout the region.
  • You provide support for all our student-athletes and help them to develop and be successful in our sport, the classroom and life.
