Welcome to MAPL Raleigh 2013
MAPL Raleigh is the largest convention center
tournament in central North Carolina and the second stop on the 2013 schedule
of the Mid-Atlantic Power League.
The event will be held on March 9-10, 2013 in the beautiful Raleigh Convention Center on 24 courts using 150,000
square feet of exhibit hall space.
MAPL Raleigh is a 'green' tournament - inspired by the Silver Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design [LEED] award winning design of the Raleigh convention center the event will continue to utilize different tactics to decrease MAPL Raleigh's carbon footprint. In 2011, MAPL Raleigh's educational initiative addressing the impact of sports drink beverage bottles on the environment was the cornerstone of the green 'theme'.
In 2012 MAPL Raleigh aimed to promote accessibility within volleyball. 'Volleyball for All' educated participants and spectators on the adaptive version of volleyball for those with a physical disability - sitting volleyball. For 2013 MAPL Raleigh will continue 'Volleyball for All' by reaching out to at-risk youth in the Raleigh-Durham area.
