Triangle in partnership with the Carolina Region, USA Volleyball, and Bridge II Sport hosted sitting volleyball at the Dean Smith Center, UNC-Chapel Hill as part of the 2013 Southeast Valor Games. TRIANGLE SUMMER CAMPS
Whether a beginner or an elite athlete, Triangle's 800+ hours of summer camps will help you 'CHANGE YOUR GAME'. Triangle's Summer Camp Program begins early June and continues through August 25th with a variety of camps and clinics designed to accommodate a family's busy summer schedule. Back for 2013 are our popular Youth, Classic, and Elite Series; PowerCore 360, JUMP+PACT, Setting Academy, 'Play the Game' Series, GameON!, and Team Camps. From week-long day camps to 1-2 hour clinics Triangle's experienced and knowledgeable staff delivers the highest quality and most consistent technical instruction in the area. 18 BLACK EARNS OPEN BID TO USAV JUNIOR NATIONALS
With a fourth place finish in the prestigious Lone Star Classic Qualifier Triangle 18 Black captured 1 of 32 Open bids to USAV Junior National Championships. This is the fourth consecutive year that Triangle 18 Black has earned such distinction. The team will conclude its season by competing at JNVC's in Dallas from June 28 to July 1.
SITTING VOLLEYBALL CONTINUES TO GROW @ TRIANGLE
Sitting Volleyball took center stage Sunday, April 14 when members of Camp Lejeune's Wounded Warriors joined Triangle coaches, student-athletes and Bridge II Sports athletes in a mini sitting volleyball tournament. News Channel 14's, Julie Fertig, was on hand to capture the "Striker" in action. The "Striker", an adaptive chair enabling disabled players to participate in sitting volleyball, was designed through a collaborative effort between Triangle, Bridge II Sport, and Duke Engineering.
TRIANGLE TEAMS FIND SUCCESS IN ATLANTA AND REGION
Over the last several weeks Triangle teams have competed both regionally and nationally with exciting and dramatic results. At the Big South Qualifier in Atlanta over Easter sixteen Triangle teams finished strong with eight teams earning top 10 finishes including two 4th place finishes in USA division [17 Blue & 18 Blue] and two 5th place finishes [14 White/American division and 18 Black/Open division].
In the Carolina Region, Triangle earned 6 regional championships and several second place finishes. 2013 Carolina Region Champions include: 12 Black [12 Platinum East]; 13 Blue [13 Platinum East]; 15 Black [Open Pod 3]; 16 Blue [Open Pod 4]; 17 Black [Open Pod 2]; and 18 Black [Open Pod 1]. MAPL RALEIGH A HUGE SUCCESS
MAPL Raleigh, the second stop of the Mid-Atlantic Power League, welcomed 132 teams to downtown Raleigh from Pennsylvania to Georgia. TRIANGLE-MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Since fall 2010 Triangle has been actively involved in bringing sitting volleyball to athletes with physical differences, leading to Triangle's designation as a Paralympic Sports Club. In addition to regularly hosting sitting volleyball play sessions and sitting tournaments, Triangle has hosted an adaptive sports expo and paralympic exhibition matches. Most recently, Triangle collaborated with Duke University engineering students to develop the 'STRIKER'; a chair that enables those with spinal cord injuries the ability to play sitting volleyball. PRESIDENTS' DAY IN DC AND CHICAGO
Triangle teams saw great competition and success over Presidents' Day weekend. Triangle BLACK teams 15-18 headed to Chicago to compete in Sports Performance's Presidents' Day Challenge, while 14's [Black and Blue] and BLUE teams 15-18 headed to the nation's capitol for the Capitol Hill Classic. NELSON SELECTED AS UNDER ARMOUR ALL-AMERICAN
Haleigh Nelson '13 6'5" MB (Triangle 18 Black, Cardinal Gibbons HS) was among 24 high school seniors selected as the best among the nations prep volleyball players. The 2012 first-team All-Americans participated in a skills competition and played in an East v. West All-America match in the KFC YUM! arena in Louisville, KY. TRIANGLE ALUMNAE SEEK 2012 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
Seven Triangle alumnae hit the courts this week in first round play of the 2012 NCAA Division 1 National Championship. Triangle is represented by the following athletes: Madison Bugg '12 (Stanford), Caroline Douglas '11 (Liberty), Alston Kearns '11 (NC State), Awele Nwaeze '12 (Miami), Katie Slay '10 (Penn State), Alex Taylor '12 (NC State), and Hannah Thompson '11 (NC State).
TRIANGLE INTRODUCES 2013 CLUB TEAMS

TRIANGLE HOSTS SCRIMMAGE WITH ALL ARMY TEAMS
June 13 the All Army Men's and Women's Teams visited Triangle for a scrimmage in preparation for the Armed Services Championships held June 21-28 in Chicago. The All Army Women's team competed against Triangle 18's, 17's and 16 Black. The All Army Men's team faced off against a team of Triangle staff and two members of the UNC Men's Club team. RALEIGH RESCUE MISSION AT TRIANGLE
Friday, June 8th Triangle Volleyball Club hosted a VolleyTots Fitness Fun and Games class for the children of the Raleigh Rescue Mission. This effort is part of Triangle's "Volleyball for All" outreach program which targets disadvantaged and underserved populations.

17 BLACK EARNS OPEN BID; 4TH AT LONE STAR CLASSIC
Facing some of the best teams in Texas, Triangle 17 Black posted critical wins against already Open qualified Premier [NT] and Skyline [NT] to finish 4th place and secure an Open bid to USAV Girls' Junior National Championships in Columbus, OH this summer.
Triangle traveled to Dallas over two weekends with 10 teams from age 14 to 18. Triangle 18 Black also posted a strong 4th place. Team results are as follows:

In an exciting three set match Triangle 18 Black defeats Team Elite St. Louis [25-13, 22-25, 19-17] to capture third place and secure the final OPEN bid offered at the Big South National Qualifier in Atlanta.
Triangle traveled to Atlanta with sixteen teams including Triangle 12 Black; Triangle's first 12's team to attend a national qualifying event. Triangle teams finished strong overall with four teams finishing in the top 10 in their respective divisions.

On March 10 and 11 Triangle Volleyball Club hosted its 4th annual MAPL Raleigh featuring elite level junior girls' volleyball competition; accessibility-focused awareness initiative; and paralympic competition as Team USA and Team Netherlands competed center court in four exhibition matches. CLASSIC/XTREME CLINICS AND SPRING YVP LAUNCHED
Triangle's popular CLASSIC, XTREME, and PowerCore 360 clinics have been lauched for Winter 2012. These clinics provide supplemental instruction in specific skill areas and by position. NEW for 2012-'TACTICAL Serving' in our Classic series. YVP Courses, TEAM, Games & Play for Spring have also been released. All programs are open to the public.
YVP and TSA BEGIN THIS WEEK
Triangle's popular Youth Volleyball Program [YVP] and Setting Academy [TSA] kick off their Winter sessions this Sunday, January 29th. YVP Course is for youth grades 2-8 with class options on both Sunday and Tuesday. YVP Games & Play provides game-like play for athletes to use their skills. TSA and TSA advantage gives setters the quality repetitions and next level training necessary to develop into competent, capable setters. TRIANGLE TEAMS FIND SUCCESS IN RICHMOND
Fifteen Triangle teams [13's through 18's] participated in the 2012 Monument City Classic in Richmond, Virginia over the Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend. With an overall club record of 89-29, Triangle captures 7 top 10 finishes in the Open divisions [14-17's] and several strong finishes in the club divisions [14-17's]. Additionally, Triangle 13 Black and Blue finished 6th and 13th respectively, while Triangle 18's finished 1st [18 Black] and 5th [18 Blue]. For more results information VIEW [Monumental Moments].
SITTING VOLLEYBALL THIS FRIDAY, JANUARY 13
The second Friday of every month [630-8 PM] Triangle hosts sitting volleyball, the adaptive version of volleyball for the physically disabled. No RSVP required. All are welcome, play is free. CONGRATULATIONS UCLA BRUINS-NCAA DI CHAMPIONS
The UCLA Bruins won the NCAA Division 1 National Championship on Saturday, December 17 at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio defeating the fighting Illini in four sets. Katie Camp '08, MB, is among the Bruins winning this year's title. For each of the past five years Triangle has been proud to have at least one alumnae on the national championship team.

Twelve high school teams participated in the 4th annual Triangle Prep Challenge on Saturday, August 13. In its sixth year, Triangle summer camps provide the most in-depth and widest range of volleyball training available in North Carolina.
Middle and High School Tune Up Camps prepare campers for their upcoming school tryouts with intense drills and the training necessary to get an edge at your school's tryouts.
Triangle Setting Academy (TSA) begins its second summer session Sunday, August 7, 430-6pm [4 sessions, special pricing]. TSA provides regular technical training, instruction, and repetitions needed to develop high efficiant, capable and confident setters. Drop ins welcome.
2011 SEASON ENDS AT AAU'S AND JUNIOR NATIONALS
Twelve Triangle teams competed in their season-ending national championship this past month. Five teams attended AAU Junior Girls’ Nationals in Orlando, Florida while seven teams earned bids to attend the USAV Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships [JNVC] in Atlanta, Georgia.

TRIANGLE SENDS FIRST 12's TEAM TO AAU's
For the first time in its nine-year history Triangle will send a 12's team to AAU Junior Nationals. Triangle 12 National will join 14 Blue, 15 Blue, 16 Blue, and 17 Blue at this national championship tournament held in Orlando, Florida in June. VIEW the [PRESS RELEASE].

SEVEN TEAMS QUALIFY FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Triangle will send seven teams to Atlanta, Georgia this summer to compete in the 2011 USA Volleyball Girls' Jr. National Championships. 18 Black earned Triangle's lone open bid at Big South. 18 Blue, 17 Black, 16 Black, 15 Black, 14 Black, and 13 Black earned bids through the Carolina Region's qualification process. TRIANGLE CAPTURES SIX REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
For nine consecutive years (and in every year since its founding), Triangle has won at least one regional championship. This season, Triangle captured SIX Carolina Region Championships. Stellar performances from 18 Black, 17 Black, 16 Black, 15 Black, 14 Black, and 13 Silver brings Triangle's total number of regional championship earned to 28. 12 Black, 13 Black, 15 White, and 18 Blue were finalists in their respective divisions.
BIG SOUTH NATIONAL QUALIFIER
Triangle 18 Black 'open' qualified to lead a fantastic set of performances by fourteen Triangle teams at the Big South National Qualifier on April 1-3, 2011 in Atlanta, GA. Including 18 Black, four Triangle teams (18 Blue, 17 Black, and 14 White) earned Gold finishes. VIEW the [PRESS RELEASE].

Triangle Summer Camps offer the most in-depth and widest range of volleyball training available in North Carolina. Camps targeting all skills and all positions address player needs from beginner through college prospect. All camps are held at Triangle Volleyball Club located near Brier Creek. MAPL Raleigh 2011
MAPL Raleigh is the second stop of the Mid-Atlantic Power League. Held March 5-6, 2011 at the Raleigh Convention Center, MAPL Raleigh showcased 108 elite level volleyball teams from along the eastern seaboard.
In conjunction with MAPL Raleigh Triangle also hosted sixteen 12s and 13s teams bringing the total numbers of teams under one roof to 124. The tournament featured 22 high performance courts and is the largest annual tournament under one roof in central North Carolina.
This year's event featured a "Going Green" theme and included an environmental awareness program surrounding the impact of sports drink bottles on the environment and several initiatives aimed at reducing the overall carbon footprint of the event. Participants were provided with free reusuable water bottles and powdered sports drinks. Over 4500 individual servings were provided greatly reducing the amount of plastic bottles generated at the event. Other green friendly efforts included the electronic tournament guide and "BOTTLES-the exhibition" a display of volleyball players made from sports drink and water bottles. MONUMENT CITY CLASSIC
Triangle brought home three championships and three championship runner-ups in another great performance at the annual Monument City Classic held in Richmond, VA on January 15-17, 2011. The club's performance included championship wins for 14 White, 16 Black, and 18 Black. 13 Black, 14 Black, and 17 Black finished as runner-up in their respective divisions. Ten of fourteen Triangle teams at the event finished in top 10, and all fourteen teams finished in the top fifteen.

JOE UNIACKE MEMORIAL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
Saturday, October 9, 2010 Triangle hosted its 4th annual Joe Uniacke Memorial Volleyball Tournament. Sixteen middle schools teams enjoyed a day of competition and fun in honor of Joe Uniacke, a loving parent, coach, and volleyball enthusiast. The day began with an inspiring welcome from Coach Joe Sagula, UNC Women's Volleyball Head Coach and ended with West Lake Middle capturing the Gold division championship. GUINNESS WORLD RECORD IS OFFICIAL
Triangle Volleyball Club received confirmation from Guinness World Records that the Club officially holds the new Guinness World Record for the "most consecutive volleyball passes." The 110 pass record was set at the Raleigh Convention Center on Friday, February 5, 2010 in conjunction with the Mid-Atlantic Power League tournament [MAPL Raleigh] hosted by Triangle Volleyball Club. USA JR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Eight Triangle teams attended the prestigious USA Jr National Championships in Reno, NV (June 23-July 3). Three teams had top 15 finishes including 15 Black (9th - 15 American), 16 Black (T13th - 16 National), 18 Black (T15th - 18 Open).
TRIANGLE CELEBRATES 2010 SEASON
Over 300 attended Triangle's End of Season Celebration on Sunday, June 13. Graduating seniors and individual award winners were honored as part of the celebration.
